SkyWest Airlines Names Lori Hunt New Vice President - People
ST. GEORGE, Utah, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. SKYW, is pleased to announce the promotion of Lori Hunt to vice president - people effective November 19, 2007. Hunt will replace Necia Clark-Mantle, who after 21 years with the airline is leaving SkyWest to pursue educational opportunities. As vice president - people, Hunt will oversee branding, recruitment, human resources functions, government and legal affairs, corporate communications, corporate culture and development. "We appreciate the work Necia has done in this capacity for the past seven years," said Chip Childs, SkyWest Airlines president and COO. "Necia has created a solid foundation for the People Department and successfully implemented many programs that touch all aspects of our company and support our operation." Hunt's tenure with the company spans more than two decades, beginning in 1985 as a reservation sales agent in St. George, Utah. Hunt worked as a customer service agent in San Luis Obispo, Calif. before becoming station manager in Palm Springs, then Salt Lake City hub manager, and most recently director - Delta Connection in Salt Lake City. As Delta Connection director, Lori worked closely with SkyWest partners United Airlines and Delta Air Lines, and oversaw operations of 60 SkyWest and contract stations. Her experience working with SkyWest's front-line employees and her immersion in the culture will prove invaluable to the role of vice president - people. "Lori's passion for the SkyWest people and our culture make her a great fit for this role," continued Childs. "I'm confident her experience and skill set is the right match to maintain our roots and embrace our future.
